The song was written as a way to deal with grief after the loss of her grandmother at a young age, grief isn't always straightforward.

Grief is like the snowball effect - it grows and changes over time. Among the sadness there are also happy memories of our lost ones, and this cocktail was my grandmother's favorite drink, so to celebrate her life and the ones no longer with us.
